  • Day 1: Arrival Luang Prabang

    English speaking guide and private driver
    Arrival warmly welcome to Luang Prabang, the ancient capital of the kingdom of Lane Xang and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its beautiful temples. You are greeted by a tour guide at the airport for your transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is at your own leisure.

  • Day 2: Luang Prabang – City tour – Kuang Si Waterfall

    After breakfast, you will first visit Royal Palace Museum, which was built in 1904 during the French colonial era for King Sisavang Vong and his family.
    We depart for a 1 - hour drive south to one of Luang Prabang’s most picturesque sights, the Kuang Si waterfall. The last part of the hike takes us to the foot of the falls, where we will take our time to bathe, refresh and relax! You can also see bears in their huge cage.  Return to Luang Prabang, a short walk made at a nearby Khmu village of Ban Thapene which is home to some of the most beautiful pools of Kuang Si Waterfalls. 
    On arrival back in the city, we will visit the old Wat Sene and the nearby magnificent Wat Xiengthong a superb piece of Lao temple architecture, which presents a sweeping two-tiered roof and ornate mosaics including a beautiful ‘tree of life ‘glass montage on the rear temple wall.  Continue  We’ll visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun (Wat Wisunarat).
    Late afternoon, we will make a stop at Wat Prabath to admire the sunset; this is the ideal place to catch the last beauty of the day.
    The tour ends after a visit to the famous Night Market, where you can find a lovely collection of handmade textiles made by local and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

    Optional: If you are fond of various ethnic cultures, you can visit Traditional Art and Ethnology Center (closed on Monday).

  • Day 3: Luang Prabang- Joined Ban Lae Sivilay- Nong Khiaw

    Breakfast at the hotel.
    Start from 09:00AM, you will travel out of Luang Prabang, to the village of Ban Laesivilay. There, you will be welcome by a Lao family, who will guide you around their village and will introduce you to the daily farming activities of the community. Afterwards, a family from the Hmong ethnic minority will welcome you to their home to introduce you to Pao Ken their traditional music. You will then have lunch in the company of your host.In the afternoon, they will take you to their plantations (oranges, bananas or papaya, depending on the season) and then a short cruise on the Nam Xeuang River to discover the surroundings. You will stop by the banks to learn how the locals carry on the tradition of gold panning.
    Join the car to go to Nong Khiaw at the end of the day a quiet village which borders the Nam Ou River and which has an eerie beauty with its spectacular river landscape, narrow jungle, imposing karst mountains and steep slopes.

  • Day 4: Nong Khiaw – Muang Ngoi- Nong Khiaw

    After breakfast, we cruise up the river to Muang Ngoi. Along the way we stop off to visit several different ethnic villages. We actually pass straight through Muang Ngoi at first and pay the village of Ban Sop Jam a visit. This village is famous for its traditional Lao silk and cotton weaving, here you can purchase some beautiful textiles if you wish. After spending some time in the village we turn around and return back downstream to Muang Ngoi. Upon arrival we take some time to have a break and a coffee before heading off on a small trek which takes us through some gorgeous scenery consisting of limestone cliffs, mountains and rice paddy fields. Along the trek we visit a historical cave which was used as bomb shelter by the local during the second Indochina war. Upon returning back to Muang Ngoi we board our boat for the cruise back down the river whilst watching the beautiful sunset over Nong Khiaw, arriving back just before dark.

  • Day 5: Nong Khiaw – Luang Prabang – Train to Vientiane

    After breakfast, you go to visit the Pathok cave. Join the car to return to Luang Prabang. Arrival at Bane Pak Ou, crossing the Mekong to visit the sacred caves of Tham Ting and Tham Poum, housing thousands of Buddhas. Stop at the Ban Xang Hai village where you will discover the distillation of rice alcohol. The villages of Ban Xang Khong, specialized for many years in the manufacture and sale of silk and Saa paper products. Afterwards, transfer to the station to take the day train to Vientiane . After an hour by train, you arrive in Vientiane, meet our driver then transfer to the hoteck and check in.

  • Day 6: Vientiane City tour - Depature

    Breakfast at the hotel, Departure to visit the colorful Thong Khan Kham market. There are many markets in Vientiane. There you will find all the foods that constitute the daily diet of Laotians but also all kinds of products (household appliances, jewelry, etc.). Dried red peppers are widely used in Laotian cuisine, particularly for macerating meat and fish.
    After a short rest, we then visiting the major sights of the capital; including the Wat Sisaket, the oldest temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. Enroute to Lao’s national precious heritage, the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, you will have the opportunity to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph. 
    Afterwards, transfer to the Airport for flight to your next destination.
